In our Parish we have a happy active organised group of 40 readers ranging in age from school year 7 to year 70!!! Because of the size of St Joseph’s we organise readers for week-day Masses, Saturday evening Mass and three Masses on Sunday. With the Passion and Easter celebrations we can use as many as 30 readers to cover all eventualities.

Readers sign up for the Mass that they attend and it can work out that they will read once a month depending on the size of the group. The e mail system is helpful to keep all readers in touch with their group.

New members are always welcome and training is available to secure the format – a good sound system is in place.
